RULES & FIXTURES


TABLE TENNIS

1. GAMES INCLUDED ARE MEN’S SINGLES / DOUBLES / LADIES’ SINGLES

2. CHILDREN CAN ALSO PARTICIPATE IN THE ABOVE EVENTS

3. ONE PARTICIPANT CAN PLAY ONLY ONE OF THE ABOVE GAMES

4. BEST OF 3 PER MATCH

5. 20 POINTS PER GAME

6. 5 SERVES - ONE GO


CRICKET

01. Each college will have one team consisting of 11 members.
02. Each team must have minimum one lady member & one kid member in the playing 11.
03. Children’s ( as adult member ) participations is restricted to three members.
04. All the 11 players have to bowl one over each.
05. One batsman can face maximum 12 balls. If the batsman is retired after 12 balls, he can play again if his other team members are all out before the stipulated 11 overs.
06. One batsman can score maximum 24 runs. If the batsman is retired after scoring 24 runs, he can play again if his other team members are all out before the stipulated 11 overs.
07. There’re no re-balls for a wide or no-ball 4 runs shall be awarded to the opposite team.
08. Ladies can throw the ball if they wish.
09. If the ball reach the batting crease after 4 pitch, the ball will be considered as dead ball and re-ball is mandatory.
10. No leg bye & No LBW
11. Can take runs for the over throw and byes
12. If wide is declared for a delivery, the maximum runs that you get for that delivery is 4 runs
13. If a sixer is hit out of a no ball, you will get six runs.
14. Other General rules as per previous years shall be followed.
15. Final decision on any dispute related to the game shall be of the Sports Committee.
16. All remaining rules shall be the standard rules of Cricket
17.No run out in declared no ball or wide. Stumping in wide ball applicable.


7 ASIDE CRICKET

PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BE 17 YEARS & BELOW
GIRLS CAN ALSO PARTICIPATE
7 OVERS BOWLING
ONE BATSMAN CAN ATTEND 10 BALLS OR 20 RUNS MAXIMUM.
ALL OTHER GENERAL AND STANDARD RULES OF ALUMNI CRICKET ARE APPLICABLE.


VOLLEYBALL

Team with best of 3 games, will be selected as the winner.
There shall be 6 players on each side. One lady member and one kid member (below 17
years) should be there in a team.
Player may not hit the ball twice in succession
A legal hit is contact with the ball by a player body above and including the waist which
does not allow the ball to visibly come to a rest.
If two or more players contact the ball simultaneously, it is considered one play and the
players involved may not participate in the next play.
A player must not block or attack a serve.
Switching positions will be allowed only between front line players. ( After the serve
only ). All the players including kid & lady need to serve in rotation. Underarm serve is
allowed for kid & lady member

Hitting the ball illegally ( Carrying, Palming, Throwing, etc. ) is not allowed.
Touches of the net with any part of the body while the ball is in play is not allowed. If the
ball is driven into the net with such force that it causes the net to contact an opposing
player, no foul will be called, and the ball shall continue to be in play.
All remaining standard rules are applicable and any disputes will be sorted out by the
sports committee.


EVENT : BASKET BALL

•One team from each alumini with 10 players max & min 5.
•One child member is a must and a maximum of 2 is allowed at a time.
•Two 10 mins period with one break (3 mins) is the duration.
•One time out of 1 minute in each half for each team.
•All other standard rules are applicable.


SHUTTLE BADMINTON

•The events are Single/Doubles/Veteran Doubles.
•One kid member can participate in any of the one event.
•Veterans shall be 45 years or above.
•All remaining rules are the standard rules.

TWO TEAMS FROM EACH ALUMINI
ONE LADY MEMBER SHOULD BE THERE IN EACH TEAM


CHESS ( OPEN EVENT )

TWO CATEGORIES: JUNIORS (12 YEARS & BELOW & SENIORS (13YEARS TO 17 YEARS)


FOOTBALL

01. Each college will have one team consisting of 9 members.
02. Each team must have Two Kid member & two veteran member in the playing 9.
03. Children’s ( as adult member ) participations is restricted to one number. ( not yet finalized)
04. Above 40 Years of age considered as veterans.
05. Substitution: one for kid members, two for adult members and unlimited for veterans.
06. First rounds will be played in two halves of 8 minutes each with a five minute break. Semifinals 9
minute each halves with a five minute break. Final with 10 min each halves with a 6 minute break.
07. Drawn matches other than the final after the above mentioned time period will be decided by tie
breaker. In final 3 minutes each extra time halves will be followed by tie breaker.
08. Tie Breaker: One Kid member, One veteran and three adult followed by two adult, one kid , one
veteran from the 9 played at the end of regular time.
09. No boots allowed. Only normal sports shoes allowed ( recommended with rubber sole)
10. Shin guards allowed.
11. No offside and throw. Spot kicks from the side line instead of throw.
12. Goal Keeper change at the time of penalty / tie breaker not allowed.
13.Dress code: uniform color t-shirt with shorts.
14. All other football rules are applicable as per match referees discretion
