Er.T.S Janardhanan ( KEF President for the year 2009-2010 )
Mr. T.S Janardhanan , the President of Kerala Engineers Family, Oman for the year 2009-2010, is the Executive Vice President of Oil & Gas – (North Oman ) Unit, Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG, Muscat. He is an alumnus of Government Engineering College, Thrissur and was the President of GECT Alumni, Oman during 2000-2001. Mr. Janardhanan belongs to the well known ‘Therambil’ family of Thrissur District. Born on 15 th May 1947 at Thalikulam, he is the sixth child of late Therambil Unniri Sankaran and Kadavil Sankaran Meenakshy. He had his schooling at Thalikulam and Pre-University at St. Thomas College, Thrissur. He took B.Sc. Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Thrissur in 1970. Mr. Janardhanan also holds Post Graduate Diploma in Production, Planning & Control and Certificate in Industrial Radiography & Safety Course. He has received training in some special areas such as Strategic Planning, Project Management ,Industrial Isotopes ,Non Destructive Testing etc.

Later on he switched to Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India where he worked for over 9 years in different capacities. From September 1982 to February 1986 he was with Yahya Constain LLC. Muscat. Afterwards he worked as the General Manger of Hyatkum Exports Ltd.( Mineral Water Producing Company), an affiliate of KSIDC, for about one and half years. In January 1988 he joined Galfar and climbing the steps of the ladder, now he has reached the prestigious position of Executive Vice President. As the Head of Oil & Gas – North Oman Unit with over 6000 employees and 400 million USD turn over, he is in charge of all types of O & G projects related to EPC and Service Contracts. He was also instrumental in setting up the Fabshop in Nizwa and the Engineering(Design) Wing in Galfar. With his high devotion and dedication, he is creating records in Galfar by winning many appreciations and awards. Mr. Janardhanan, a very simple and humble person, commanding the love and respect of all, is happily married to Savithry, daughter of Kadavil Kottukka Sankaran.
