Engineer of the Month
D.Sugathan ( KEF President 2011-2012 )
We have great pleasure to introduce Er.Sugathan Damodaran, KEF President for the year 2011-2012 and Past President of NSS Engineering College Palghat Alumni, Muscat. He is the founder member of NSS Alumni, Muscat and founder member Of Kerala Engineers group, Oman. He was also Chairman of various KEF Committees. He has graduated in Civil Engineering from NSS College of Engineering Palghat in 1976. Mr. Sugathan, is from Kilimanoor in Trivandrum District. His schooling was in Kilimanoor and did his PDC from NSS College, Nilemel. After his graduation he started his career as Site Engineer with a contracting company based in Sulur Air Base in Coimbatore for one year period. He came to Oman in 1978 as site in a local contracting company. He moved to Saudi Arabia from Oman by end of 1978. He worked 6 years in Saudi Arabia with an International Consultants for Sewerage and Road beautification projects. He left Saudi Arabia by end of 1984 and back to Kerala. Worked in Kerala, Trivandrum with a contractor up to Feb` 1988. Back in Oman on March 1988. Worked as structural engineer from March 1988 up to end of 1996 with a local consulting firm, Jabrin Engineering Consultancy . End of 1996, he joined a contracting company, Al Majid Trading & Contracting as Construction Manager up to end of 2005. He joined in Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Company from October 2005 till date as project Engineer. He is Happily married to Leena Sugathan, M Tec Civil, presently working with Keral Water Authority as Executive Engineer and has 2 children. His son Arun Sugathan a graduate Civil Engineer from M.S,Ramayya Engineering College, Banglore with MBA from MINDS Banglore. Currently employed with M/ s Soma Enterprises in Delhi. His daughter ,Anupama Sugathan ,is graduate Civil Engineer and a final year student for M Tec in NIT Suratkal.
