Engineer of the Month

Er.Radhakrishnan Nair

( Former KEF President )

We have great pleasure in introducing Architect Radhakrishnan Krishnan Nair, Alumnus of CET, Thiruvanthapuram, Kerala & a member of KEF, Muscat, Oman.

He was the President of KEF in 2002.

Born on June 29th, 1957 in Kanam, Kottayam District, he is the third child of the Late Mr. Krishnan Nair (Founder President, Government Graduate Teachers Association) and Late Mrs. Kamala Bai (Teacher @.SVRV NSS High School, Vazhoor, Kottayam). He did his schooling in Kanam, and Vazhoor, Kottayam District and then went on to graduate in Architecture at the CET.

After graduation, he started his own Design Firm in Thiruvanthapuram, and completed successfully many projects for the next three years. This firm was handed over to Architect Sankar and he then migrated to the Sultanate of Oman in 1984 to Salalah. He worked as an architect for the next few years, building up his portfolio and then moved to Muscat, where he shifted practice with Architects International /Oman. His architectural fervor then lead him to work with  Rana Vision, a Design Firm where he remained an integral part of the team for the next few years. He has worked on many interesting projects during his years in the Sultanate, mainly in the interior design of Palaces and Royal villas enriching his experience to the utmost. Almost after a decade, Radha, as he is known in his professional circles joined the Royal Court Affairs where he was the Interior Co-coordinator.

At this point, his wife, who had graduated with him from CET, the late Architect Sheela Nair, also joined him in the Royal Estates, Royal Court Affairs.

He has been quite active in working for the Indian Community schools in Muscat. He was the President of Indian School Darseit and is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for all schools in Oman.

R.K Nair still continues to add to his professional experience.

He is now married to Dr. Arya Pindali Mana who works at Badr Al Sama Hospital, Al Khuwair, Muscat. They are blessed with three children. Their daughter is an architect currently completing her Master's Program in Europe. Their son who has graduated in Computer Engineering is currently working with a private firm in Dubai and their youngest son is pursuing his bachelors in Visual Communication at Loyola, Chennai.
