Er.G.Balakrishnan
We
have great pleasure in introducing Er.G.Balakrishnan,
Corporate Manager ( Quality & Management Systems), WorleyParsons Oman
Engineering. L.L.C, an Alumni of REC, Calicut and a
member of the Kerala Engineers family. Muscat. He was the President of
RECCAA Muscat Chapter. He was also the Chairman of Academic Excellence
committee of KEF, Muscat
Born on 5 March
1946 at Edanadu, a village on the banks of river PUMPA near Chengannor
and later on he settled at Thadiyoor. He is the youngest of the 3
children of the late Sri.P.K.Gopala Pillai, a Post Master, and late Smt.
K.Bhageerathi Amma, a housewife. Both his elder sisters are retired
teachers.
He had his
school education at Thiruvalla, Kumbanad and Thadiyoor. Pre-university
at S.B. College , Changanacherry and Mechanical Engineering at REC
Calicut during 1962-67. He Took his MBA from Cochin University in 1980.
Immediately
after his Engineering graduation, he worked in Madras for Precision
Engineering Co. and Eskeyar Engineering Co. during 1967-69. Joined FACT
in 1969 and served FACT/FEDO till 1996 at various capacities. Joined
Mott MacDonald, Dubai in 1996 and served for 2 years. Joined Parsons
Group Oman Engineering in 1998 and continues to serve WorleyParsons Oman
Engineering (present name) as the Corporate Manager (Quality &
Management Systems)
Married in the
year 1974 to Smt.K.S.Ambika Devi , daughter of Late Shi.K.P.S.Nair & Smt
Saraswathi Amma, from Kottayam. Blessed with a son and a daughter.
Son B. Sivakumar,
( Alumni of NSSCE) , B.Tech; MBA is employed as Sr. Project Engineer in
Arabian Industries - Muscat and married to Remadevi. They are blessed
with a son, Pranav.
Daughter B.Devi
is married to V. Vinod Kesavadas, BE and is employed as Sr. Project
Engineer in WorleyParsons Oman Engineering – Muscat . They are blessed
with a daughter Nandana.
He plans a
retired life at Kalamassery-Kochi.
